Description

Woodbine Cottage is a Grade II listed building located on Milford Road. It is likely an old cob cottage or farmhouse that has been stuccoed and enhanced in the early 19th century, with Victorian additions that have doubled the original structure to the north. The cottage features a thatched roof with two gables at the west end, one of which has ornamental bargeboards. The eaves have a fascia with a cut ornamental edge, and there are some half dormers with "eyebrowed" thatch above. The south-facing entrance front has five windows, with mullioned casements on the first floor, although most of the glazing bars have been removed due to later alterations, which include a conservatory at the west end. Above the gable, there is a small Victorian boy window. The cottage is picturesque and is set back from the road in a spacious, well-wooded garden.
