Description

These are two early 19th-century cottages on Mill Street, though they stand on the site of an earlier structure. The cottages have rough cast exteriors and thatched roofs, with two dormers; one dormer has a distinctive “eyebrowed” thatch overhang. Each cottage has two windows. Number 3 has flush-framed sash windows, with original glazing bars, one of which is slightly bowed. Number 4 has modern casement windows, except for a first-floor sash window with later glazing. The entrances are located in a passage between the cottages, where traces of timber framing can be seen.
