Description

Warwick House is a notable building located on the east side of High Street, dating back to 1633, with origins possibly in the 17th century. The house features an unusual two-storey front, partly covered in stucco, while sections of painted stone rubble are exposed. It has a gable end slate roof. On the first floor, there are six windows, with three on the right set higher than the others; these are sash windows with intact glazing bars, including one sliding sash. The ground floor has two similar windows above which are terracotta panels, likely from the 17th century. The doorcase, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, features a pediment that breaks into a central terracotta panel. Additionally, a shop window has been inserted to the right of the entrance. Warwick House is part of a group with Albion House.
