Description

Egypt is a late 18th century house, set well back from Milford Road, up a hillside, and accessed by a drive. The house is three storeys high and constructed of red brick, which has been whitewashed. It has a Modillion eaves cornice and three dormers. The symmetrical front facade has three windows per floor. The windows are recessed sash windows, with intact glazing bars; the central window on the first floor is round-headed. A panelled door is set within a doorcase featuring a canopy supported on shaped brackets. The house is largely obscured by Myrtle Lodge.
