Description
These are two houses, numbers 85 and 87 Boreham Road, built before 1840. They are constructed of local rubblework with ashlar quoins and dressings. The roofs are slate, with shallow hips and wide eaves, and have a brick chimney. A plain string course runs above the ground floor. The houses feature four windows to the left and one to the right, with the right-hand bay slightly set back. The windows are glazing bar sash windows with keystones, and three of the ground floor windows are wider. Number 87 has a later, large angled bay window with five panes of glass. Both houses have early glazed doors with marginal glazing and reeded lower panels; number 85 has a tented trellis porch, while number 87 has a later gabled porch. A greenhouse is located to the right of the right-hand window of number 87.
