Description
95 Boreham Road is part of St John's Church of England Primary School, built in 1871 by G. E. Street in a Vernacular Gothic style. The building features local rubblework with ashlar quoins and dressings, topped by a red tile roof with coped weathered verges. The facade facing the road is two storeys high, with a string course over the ground floor that is raised to the right. It has a central pointed doorway with ledged doors, flanked by third light mullion windows. On the first floor, there are two mullion windows, one of which has a gable. The front garden is enclosed by a low local rubblework wall approximately 23 metres long, which has a plinth and angles towards the lychgate. Behind the house are the extended schoolrooms from around 1892, featuring Gothic mullion windows, gables, and tall stone chimneys.
