Description

No. 44, including its coach house, is likely from the early 19th century. It is a two-storey building with rendered and painted walls. It features a plinth, an asbestos slate roof with flat eaves supported by brackets, and brick chimneys on both sides. The building has two full-height, angled bays with hipped gables. The first floor has single-hung sash windows with glazing bars, set within moulded surrounds. The ground floor windows have shutter latches. To the right of the main building are two curved walls leading to gates, connecting to a two-storey brick coach house built on a rubble base. The coach house has a hipped slate roof, a loft over double doors, and a two-light casement window with a moulded surround to the right, above later doors with segmental heads. A low wall runs along the front of the coach house, punctuated by four short piers with pyramidal caps. The original railings have been removed. A small gabled porch provides access to the garden from the east. The main entrance is at the rear, situated in an angle with a large, altered extension.
