Description
Ivy Lodge is a mid to late 19th century Gothic villa located on East Street in Warminster. The building has two storeys and an attic, designed in an 'L' shape. It is constructed from coursed and squared rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and moulded dressings, and is topped with a fishscale tile roof.
On the right side, there is a low gable end chimney with moulded capping. The gable facing East Street displays a scalloped bargeboard and includes a three-light oriel window on the first floor, with a three-light mullion casement window below. The gable to the right has a two-light mullion window, and below it is a loggia consisting of three short bays supported by posts with cusped braces, which is recessed. The entrance features a four-panel door with pointed mouldings in the panels. The gable end facing Imber Road has a series of windows that diminish in width on each floor. Ivy Lodge is listed for its group value with other nearby structures.
