Description
Preston House is an early 19th-century building that has been altered subsequently. It is two storeys high and built of stucco, with ashlar detailing including rustic quoins, an astragal moulding, a cornice, a parapet, and a band above the ground floor. The facade originally had four windows on the first floor, each with moulded architraves and bracketed sills; two of these windows retain their original glazing bar sashes. A plate-glass window on the ground floor to the left has an architrave, cornice, and a panel below the sill. A mid-19th century, box-like porch is situated to the left of the centre, featuring a round-headed doorway and a modillion cornice. A large, square bay window of three lights is located to the right of the centre, featuring segmental headed plate-glass sashes.
