Description

The Masons Arms Inn is a late 17th century to early 18th century building that has been altered. It stands three storeys tall with a rendered front and a hipped tiled roof that slopes to the left. At the left corner, there is a built-up ashlar feature that rises two storeys and features a heavy cornice at the top and pilasters at the front. This feature connects to a gabled brick chimney. The building has two ranges of uneven windows: on the second floor, there are two-light casements, one of which is a small mullioned window dating from around 1700. The first floor has a paired and a single late glazed sash window, while the ground floor features a three-light and a two-light window with arcaded heads. There are three doors, one of which has a bracketed gabled hood. At the rear, there is a small brewery from the mid-19th century. A projecting central wrought iron sign is also present.
