Description
The Kings Arms Inn is a 17th-century building that has undergone later alterations. It stands two storeys tall, with the ground floor constructed of red brick and the first floor featuring a late 19th-century façade of timber frame and plaster. The right-hand side has a gable, and there are four late 19th-century small-paned casement windows, two of which are topped with gables. On the ground floor, there are two early 19th-century tripartite sash windows, a large 18th-century canted bay window to the right, and a plain doorway to the left that includes a modern brick porch. The building has a large brick chimney stack, plain eaves, and a tiled roof. To the right, there is a one-storey wing that features a carriageway with a four-centred stone arch and keyblock, along with a semi-circular headed doorway to the left. A two-storey wing projects at the rear. Inside, the inn has exposed ceiling beams and a large inglenook fireplace in the room to the right of the entrance.
