Description

Southwell House is a mid-19th century building located in Eccleshall. It features engraved stucco and stands two storeys high. The façade includes a sash window set within a moulded architrave, flanked on either side by canted bay windows that are tiered over two storeys, along with plain pilasters. At the centre, there is a gable adorned with ornamental bargeboards and a plain sill band. The entrance is marked by a plain wood pilaster doorcase topped with a cornice hood porch supported by fluted pilasters. The building has moulded wood eaves resting on brackets and is covered with tiles. It occupies an important site facing down Stafford Street.
