Description
The Brewery Inn is a 17th-century building with an 18th-century front, located on the north side of Bye Street. It features colour washed brick and a tiled roof with gable ends, along with brick dentil eaves. The building is two storeys high, with four windows on the first floor (one of which is blocked) that are two-light mullion/transom casements. On the ground floor, there are two canted bays with sash windows that have glazing bars, connected by a moulded cornice with cast iron cresting above a central wide fielded panel door set in a heavy doorcase. To the left, there is a segmental headed passageway. Inside, the building has stop-chamfered beams. At the rear, there is a 17th-century timber frame wing with square brick panels and a gable ended roof covered with new concrete tiles.
