Description
Nos 63 and 65 on East Street are a pair of houses that were remodeled in the Gothic style around the 1840s. They are two stories tall and constructed from coursed and squared rubble, with No 67 featuring occasional ashlar quoins. There is a band above the ground floor, and the houses have slate roofs. Each gable has two light casement windows in moulded frames, topped by dripmoulds. The windows of No 69 have moulded stone mullions and glazing bar sashes on the first floor. The two inner windows are wide three-light bays with dripmoulds and plate glass sashes. The gables are adorned with scalloped bargeboards. The doorways feature vertical dripmoulds and projecting Doric porches with blocking courses. No 67 is known as East End. The front gardens are enclosed by cast iron railings with arrowheads, although the arrowheads have been sawn off on No 67, and there are urn-capped standards for the gates. Nos 63 and 65 have brick fronts and are located at the rear of No 67.
