Description

The gates and railings with dwarf wall and piers at the Non-Conformist Burial Ground on Boreham Road in Warminster were built in 1828. They are made of cast iron by Carson and Miller of Warminster, as indicated by the stamped gate standard. The dwarf wall is constructed from coursed and dressed rubble, featuring panelled end piers. The railings include cast iron spearhead and fleur de lys designs, separated by panelled standards and dog leg stanchions. The square gate panels have plate bases, and the gates are designed to ramp up to the hinges.
