Description
Two houses, numbers 8 and 10, were likely built in the 1840s. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings, and have hipped slate roofs.
Number 8 is of three by two bays. It features a string course above the ground floor, a sill band marking the first floor, a top frieze, a cornice and a blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows with glazing bars. A ground floor canted bay window is located to the left of the entrance and includes blind windows, as well as a window above. A central first-floor window has an architrave, frieze and consoled cornice. The entrance has panelled pilasters, a frieze and cornice, and a two-panelled door. The left return has ground floor canted bay windows and pilasters.
Number 10 is of three bays. The third bay mirrors number 8 with a two-storey canted bay window and iron colonnettes. Some sashes are without glazing bars. The left-hand bays have a projecting ground floor beneath a lean-to roof, featuring three round-arched windows and an entrance to the right. Above this projection is a sash window with glazing bars.
