Description
There are two monuments located in the churchyard, 8 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Michael and All Angels. These monuments date from the late 18th century and are made of limestone.
The first is a chest tomb belonging to the Clark family. It has a plain rectangular shape with a sunk area at the west end, featuring deeply incised Roman lettering on the side panels and a cyma recta moulded slab on top.
The second monument is a pedestal tomb of unidentified origin. It is square in plan and has a frieze of paterae, an ovolo-moulded cornice, and a coved pyramidal top. The base is moulded, but all faces are blank. At the time of the last survey in July 1986, this tomb was leaning to the south.
