Description
Box Bush House is a detached house dating to the late 18th century, with later 19th-century additions to the rear. It is constructed of chequered brick with wooden lintels and has a concrete slate mansard roof, featuring brick stacks at each end. The south front has three windows and is arranged over two storeys and an attic. The windows are 12-pane sashes set within gauged brick voussoirs. A central 6-panel door is topped by a rectangular, spoked fanlight and a flat hood supported by carved brackets. A first-floor band and a dentil cornice run along the south facade, punctuated by three dormers, each containing a 2-light casement with small panes. The roof slopes downwards (catslide) over the rear additions. The interior of the house is inaccessible.
