Description
Goddard's Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the early to mid 17th century, with alterations and an addition made in the 19th century. It features timber box-frame construction with limewashed brick nogging on the north front and weatherboarding on the south side. The roof is covered with double Roman tiles and has paired central stone stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan, with an early range on the right, a mid 17th-century range on the left, and a 19th-century addition at the southwest corner. It is two stories high with an attic and has a four-window north front. The windows are 2-light small pane casements from the 19th century. There is a central gabled porch with a plank door that is offset to the right, and a single 3-light eyebrow dormer is located to the right. Inside, no 17th-century features remain on the ground and first floors, although the roof has not been inspected.
