Pair of Bowood estate cottages, early C19, squared ironstone rubble with thatched roof and brick ridge stack of 4 short diagonal shafts. Picturesque cottage style. Each cottage is 2-storey, 2- window range with two 2-light mullion windows to first floor, door in stone surround and 1-3-1-light canted stone bay to ground floor, door to right on No 14 and to left on No 15. Small-paned iron casements. End walls have ground floor 2-light with hoodmould. A house is marked on this site on J. Powell 1763 map, but the present range appears later in style.
