Description

The milestone located west of Shalbourne Village dates from the 18th or 19th century. It is made of stone and has a rectangular shape with a rounded top. The stone features a painted inscription that reads: "HUNGERFORD 4 SARUM 23." There is also a benchmark at the top of the stone.
