Description

Doves is a house located in Shalbourne, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of diaper brick and features a thatched roof. The building is single-storey with an attic, but has been raised to two-storeys. It has three bays, with a boarded door positioned laterally to the centre bay, and a mid-wall band of vitrified brick. The windows are leaded casements set in timber frames, and there are gable stacks. At the rear, there are three dormers, along with a hipped extension to the left and a lean-to at the rear. Additionally, there is a long thatched outbuilding attached to the right bay.
