Description
The barn located northwest of Shalbourne Manor Farm is a 17th-century structure that has been converted into looseboxes. It features a timber frame set on flint and brick sills, topped with a tile roof, although part of the roof has been replaced with corrugated asbestos. The barn consists of five bays, with a central midstrey and an aisle at the rear. The roof is hipped on the left side and projects over the midstrey doors. Inside, the barn has jowled posts and curved braces connecting the plates and ties, with canted struts supporting the collar and clasped purlin roof. To the right of the barn is a six-bay framed building that has been altered and is not considered of special interest.
