Description

The Old Timbers is a 17th-century cottage located on Cox's Lane in Shalbourne. It features a timber frame with brick noggings and has a shingled roof. The building is single-storey with an attic and consists of 2½ bays. The front has a 20th-century lean-to with a timber door, and the framing is two panels high. The cottage has 20th-century timber windows. The right gable has been rebuilt and includes an external stack, with an additional stack situated between the left half-bay and the second bay. At the rear, there is a large part-detached brick extension that was added in 1976, along with a linking porch.
