Description

Cruck House is a house located in Shalbourne, dating from the 16th century and early 19th century. It features a timber frame that has been refaced in brick and is topped with a thatched roof. The building is single-storey with an attic and consists of three bays, along with a two-storey extension that projects forward on the left side. The entrance is located in the center bay and has a boarded door. The house includes various timber and leaded casement windows. The roof is hipped, with the thatch extending over two dormers at the front and three at the rear. There are stacks at the gables and an external stack on bay three, which is laced at an offset. Inside, bay one contains a cruck pair.
