Description
The Old Vicarage is a house built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features blue vitrified brick, with a left extension made of red brick from the early to mid-19th century. The building has a slate roof and is two stories tall, originally consisting of two rows of three bays with a central entrance. The entrance door is six-panelled and has a fanlight above it, set within panelled reveals, and is sheltered by a segmental-headed Tuscan portico. The windows are sixteen-pane sashes with gauged red brick lintels.
On the side elevation, there is a central door that may have been the original entrance. The building has been extended to the left by two bays, which end in a bow window that was originally a single storey but was raised to two storeys in the mid-20th century. This section also features sixteen-pane sashes with stone wedge lintels. To the left, there is a four-bay rear wing that dates from the late 19th century to early 20th century, along with a block in the re-entrant angle. The interior has not been seen.
