Description

The community washplace in Easterton is a notable structure that features a washing area adjacent to a stream. It has red brick paving, which was renewed in the 20th century. The washplace includes a square brick well house topped with concrete, which supports a 19th-century cast iron hand pump. At the base of the well house, there is a gated area that leads to a dipping well.
