Description

No 17 is a detached cottage dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed from limestone and chalk rubble stone with some brick, and features a half-hipped thatched roof with an axial brick stack. The cottage is single-storey with an attic and has a two-window west front facing the river. The ground floor includes two 2-light casements with flat brick arches and keystones. The north gable end has a 20th-century lean-to porch, while the south gable end features a 2-light casement in a blocked doorway with a flat arch and keystone, along with a 2-light attic casement. The rear, facing east, has one 2-light casement. The interior was not accessible during the survey in April 1987.
