Description

No 22 Water Street is a cottage dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of chalkstone rubble with brick quoins and lacings, and features flint and brick on the gable, topped with a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic and consists of two bays, along with a 20th-century lean-to on the right side. There is a glazed door at the end of the left bay, which is sheltered by a slated pitched canopy. The cottage has simple two-light timber windows and a door leading to the extension. The roof is half-hipped on the right side, and there is a rebuilt brick stack on the left gable, with an additional stack added to the rear pitch.
