Description

The building comprises a farmhouse, now divided into two dwellings, dating to 1769 and constructed for John Gast. It is built of flint with brick quoins and lacings, and features a tiled roof. The building is two storeys high, with a three-bay front. A single-storey, attic rear wing is located on the left side. There are two doorways, each protected by a bracketed corrugated iron canopy. The ground floor windows are three-light, with segmental brick arches. The first floor has casement windows. Cogged brick eaves are present. The roof is half-hipped, with gable stacks. A datestone is set into the left gable, while the right gable contains several family stones reading SG/DAGLED/1789; IG 1769/DT/AG; AG 176(?); MB(?) 1769; an illegible inscription; and GD 1762.
