Description
The Willows is a late 18th-century farmhouse, now divided into three dwellings, located on Water Street, Bulford. Constructed primarily of flint with scattered brick detailing, it features a thatched roof. The original farmhouse comprises a single storey and attic, with four bays, and includes a rear wing on the left side. The left two bays are occupied by The Willows itself. A central boarded door is sheltered by a 20th-century thatched canopy. The farmhouse has three-light timber casement windows, and a stack is located on the left gable, with a single purlin roof. Attached to the right is a two-bay cottage, slightly set back from the main structure, also in a single storey and attic with a thatched roof. This cottage has similar windows and incorporates a flush dormer. A 20th-century thatched lean-to forms a kitchen extension to the right gable end of the cottage. A two-bay rear wing, originally used as service areas, now functions as a separate dwelling. This wing is constructed of colourwashed brick with a thatched roof and features a half-glazed stable door and a two-light window with boarded shutters. A brick stack is positioned opposite the door. The interiors are not accessible.
