Description
No 2 Bank Cottages is a semi-detached cottage dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared and roughly dressed limestone, with dressed stone quoins. The roof is made of stone slate and features a stone ridge, along with an ashlar stack. The cottage has a rectangular plan and includes a later lean-to at the rear. It stands two storeys tall with an attic that is illuminated by a single two-light dormer. The facade has two windows, which are fitted with two and three-light stone-mullioned casements that have leaded panes. There is also a single two-light wooden casement in the attic on the left gable end. Access to the cottage is now through the lean-to at the rear, and there is a single axial stack in the main body of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
