Description
Endicott is a house located at the end of a row in Great Rissington, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with stone slate roofing on the front-facing pitch and concrete tile at the rear. The former ashlar stacks have been restored and are now covered with incised render. The house has a rectangular plan and features a 20th-century single bay car-port extension on the right gable end, which is not of special interest.
The building stands two storeys high with an attic, which is illuminated by two 2-light rendered roof dormers. The symmetrical facade has three windows, featuring 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned casements. The surrounds of the first-floor windows are double-chamfered, and all windows, including those in the dormers, have leaded panes. The central door is a 20th-century plank door with decorative strap hinges, and it is topped by a flat stone canopy with a moulded margin, supported on moulded brackets. The gable ends are finished with flat coping and have gable-end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
