Description
Nos 13 and 14 on Brook Street are two cottages that were originally three, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. They are constructed of brick, with some timber framing, and feature a thatched roof. The building is two stories high and has five bays, with No 13 on the left consisting of three bays. It has a door set in a gabled timber porch, while the original door in the first bay has been blocked and replaced by a window. The ground floor has two-light leaded timber windows with segmental arches, and the first floor is raised in timber framing that includes dormers. No 14 has a lean-to brick porch and timber casement windows. There are three brick stacks and a 20th-century lean-to at the rear.
