Description

Nos 45 and 46 on Brewhouse Hill are two cottages that have been combined into one house, dating from the 17th century. The original timber frame has been partially replaced with brick and flint, and the building features a thatched roof. It is two storeys high. No 45 consists of two bays and has a central entrance that is accessed through a 20th-century gabled porch. The entrance includes a boarded door and timber and leaded casements. The roof has been raised in brick over the wall-plate. No 46, located on the left, is a single bay that retains its timber framing with brick noggings and has also been raised to two storeys. It features a 20th-century waney boarded porch. There is a stack situated between the two cottages.
