Description
No 15 is a house in a row located on High Street in Great Bedwyn, dating from the late 18th century. It features a blue header bond with red brick quoins, aprons, and lintels, topped by a tiled roof. The building is two stories tall with three bays, extended to the right by an additional two-story bay. The wide central entrance consists of a six-panel door set within a doorcase that has a segmental moulded canopy supported by modillion brackets. The ground floor windows are 12-pane sashes, while the upper floor and the extended bay have 16-pane sashes, all with gauged brick lintels and red brick aprons. Above the door, there is a blind feature with a finely gauged depressed arch, stone key, and abaci, along with a brick apron. The house also displays a Sun Insurance sign numbered 425573. Notable architectural details include fine brick dentilled eaves, a half-hipped roof on the right side, and a stack located at the rear.
