Description

No 9 is a house located on Main Street, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantiled roof. The building stands two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with an overlight that has glazing bars, which is flanked on both sides by 16-pane sash windows with sills, all set beneath cambered gauged brick arches. On the first floor, there are similar sash windows to the right and left, with an inserted four-pane sash window above the door. The house has a dentilled brick eaves cornice, end stacks, and tumbled-in brickwork at the raised gables. There is an outbuilding to the right, but it is not of special interest.
