Description

Nos 8 and 10 on Main Street are a pair of houses built in the early to mid-18th century. They are constructed of brick, which has been colour-washed, and feature pantiled roofs. Each house is a single storey with attics and consists of two bays. The central entrance of each house has a 4-panel door set in a projecting gabled canopy, with 16-pane sash windows on either side; the windows of No 10 are set beneath segmental heads. Both houses have a stepped brick eaves cornice. No 8 has two 2-light raked dormers with swept roofs, while No 10 has a single, similar dormer. The houses also feature end and axial stacks with raised gables.
