Description

No. 26 West End is a house dating from 1706, as indicated by a datestone. It is constructed of brick and has a colour-washed finish with pantiled roofs and attics. The building is a single storey with two bays and features an end lobby-entry plan. On the left side, there is a 20th-century glazed and panelled door, while to the right are two 2-light sliding sash windows with glazing bars. The roof has a raked dormer that contains two 3-light sliding sash windows, also with glazing bars. The house has plain close verges and end stacks, with the datestone located on the ground floor at the extreme right, reading "PS 1706 WE."
