Description

The pump house at The Almshouses, built in 1873, is constructed from ashlar and timber with a tiled roof. It features a square central pier that houses the pump, topped with a panelled upper section adorned with blank tracery in the Gothic revival style. This upper section is capped by a pyramidal roof supported by four posts, and it is finished with a cross finial. The pump house is included for its group value.
