Description

This lamp standard, located on High Street in Great Bedwyn, is a Jubilee Memorial dating from 1887. It is made of cast iron and features a drum with moulded crests. The shaft is complex, showcasing various design elements and culminates in a Corinthian capital. It has ladder arms and a hexagonal glazed lantern topped with a crown finial. The lamp has been electrified and stands on the site of the town hall that was demolished around 1860.
