Description
This early 19th-century wrought iron gate, piers, and railings form part of the entrance to Ashley Leigh. The gate and railings are constructed using spearhead iron rails and a gate with spearhead half-length dog bars, both on a base of ashlar and rubble stone. The gate is flanked by decorative uprights. The rails curve to the right, terminating at a rusticated ashlar pier surmounted by a pyramid cap, and then ramp down to a plain ashlar pier.
