Description
Oulston Lodge Gateway to Newburgh Park consists of railings, walls, gates, and gate piers dating from the mid to late 18th century. The structure is made of ashlar sandstone and wrought iron. It features a low wall with canted coping that supports railings made of square bars topped with arrow-head finials, along with turned-baluster standards that have urn finials. The piers that terminate the railings and flank the gates are rusticated, with chamfered bases and tabled capstones. The gates are designed to match the railings but include an elliptical motif on the mid-rail.
