Description

OULSTON YEARSLEY ROAD SE 57 SW (north side) 5/72 - Oulston Lodge GV II

Lodge to Newburgh Park. Mid-late C18, altered. Ashlar sandstone, partly rendered, Westmorland slate roof. Single storey. 1:1:1 bays, the centre bay of ashlar and projecting forward in a semicircular bow. Ashlar plinth with chamfered offset at sill level. Outer bays are rendered and each has a blocked window. The central bay has a 15-pane sash window at each side. Cornice. Hipped roof with central stack left and right returns have a matching window. At the rear are C20 brick extensions, not of special interest. Included for group value.
