Description
The barn located to the northeast of Ashley Farm House dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a stone-tiled roof with coped gables and opposing gabled projecting cart entries. The barn has flush quoins and two rows of vent loops along its side walls. The projecting west gable is two-storey and includes a dovecote above the cart entry, topped with a stone-tiled lantern.
The entries are through bead-moulded windows that have dripstones in coped dormer gables on either side of the main gable. On the south side, there is a two-light window, while the north side has a single light window above a chamfered single light, which also features a dripstone. To the left of the cart entry, there is a squared rubble lean-to. Attached to the north end is a squared rubble stable with Bridgwater tiles and a coped north gable. The stable has a west door flanked by two-light windows on each side, with a central coped dormer gable above.
