Description

The guide post at the junction with Milton Road dates from around 1880. It features a limestone base that is square with a capstone. The post itself is made of cast iron and is designed in the shape of an inverted bell, with an acanthus leaf stem that supports three cast-iron finger signs displaying Roman lettering. Above the post, there is a later addition of a swan-necked lamp, along with a 20th-century attached sign.
