Description

The Gateway to College Farm is a 17th-century structure located within a roadside wall in Purton on the north side of High Street. It is constructed from limestone ashlar set within rubble walling. The gateway features a three-centred moulded arch with blind spandrels and a hood mould. The section of the wall includes ashlar weathered copings with a roll apex, and the coping is stepped up over the gate. The wall beyond the weathered coping has been rebuilt and is not of special interest.
