Description

The Maltster Public House is an inn located at No. 7 High Street in Purton. It was built in 1673 and has been altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed from limestone rubble and features a slate roof. It is two storeys high with three bays. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door with a canopy above it. The windows are 20th-century three-light paned designs with brick flat lintels. To the right of the door, there are two small paned bays. The elevation was raised in the early 20th century with brick to create attic accommodation, which includes one gabled dormer. There is a stack located to the left of the through passage. At the rear, there are 19th-century limestone wings and a lean-to structure.
