Description
The Red Lion Public House is an inn dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble and has a painted angled front, topped with a concrete slate roof. The building is two storeys tall with attics and consists of two connected blocks featuring three and four bays. Each block has a central entrance; on the left is a six-panelled door with a fanlight, and on the right is a pair of three-panelled doors. The windows are sixteen-pane sashes, although some on the ground floor have been replaced with plate glass. The centre window of the left block is blind. There are three gabled dormers with 20th-century windows, and a brick stack is located on the left gable. At the rear, there are various outbuildings, including former stables.
