Description
Mortimore's Weighbridge Office is a weighbridge office built in the mid-19th century, located in Chippenham Station Yard. The building features a ground floor made of limestone rubble and a first floor that is timber-framed with painted weatherboarding. It has a slate roof with a brick stack and a rectangular plan. The structure is two storeys high and has a two-window range. There are various 19th and 20th-century windows and 20th-century doors. The right-hand return includes plank double doors on the ground floor and 19th or early 20th-century three-light casements on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected. This building was likely part of Rowland Brotherhood's engineering works.
